Terms & Conditions of Service for Helm of Awe-Some Windows – Professional Exterior Cleaning Services

These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of exterior cleaning services by Helm of Awe-Some Windows to our customers. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

We provide professional exterior cleaning services, including but not limited to:

Window cleaning

Gutter clearing and repairs

Roof moss removal

Render softwashing

Driveway, patio and decking cleaning

Conservatory cleaning

The specific services will be confirmed at the time of booking.

 

2. Quotations & Pricing

All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

 

Quotes are based on the information provided by you. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the actual work required differs significantly from the initial description.

Prices include labour, standard cleaning products and equipment unless agreed otherwise.

 

3. Bookings & Access

Bookings can be made by phone, email, or through our website.

 

You are responsible for providing clear and safe access to the property, including entry to external taps, electricity (if required), and removal of obstacles.

 

If access is restricted on the agreed date, we reserve the right to charge a call-out fee.

 

4. Payments

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

We accept cash, bank transfer, or other agreed methods.

 

Late payments may incur interest charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

 

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the agreed appointment without charge.

 

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted service price.

 

We reserve the right to reschedule services due to adverse weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.

 

6. Liability & Insurance

We are fully insured for public liability and will take all reasonable care when carrying out our services.

 

We are not liable for pre-existing damage to your property (e.g., cracked roof tiles, blocked gutters, deteriorated pointing, degraded window/door frames, blown glass panels or worn paintwork).

 

We are not liable for damage caused by structural weaknesses or poor maintenance of your property.

 

You are responsible for ensuring windows and doors are closed and watertight before services commence.

 

7. Customer Responsibilities

Ensure safe working conditions (e.g., stable surfaces, no hazardous materials).

 

Notify us of any structural issues (e.g., loose tiles, fragile surfaces) prior to the service.

 

Remove personal items from work areas (e.g., garden furniture, vehicles, ornaments, plants).

 

8. Guarantees & Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with our work, please notify us within 24 hours of completion. We will arrange to revisit and rectify where reasonable.

 

Our guarantee does not cover issues arising from external factors outside our control (e.g., weather, falling debris, bird droppings).

 

9. Health & Safety

We comply with UK health and safety regulations.

 

Certain jobs may require ladder use, safety harnesses, or specialist equipment. If we deem conditions unsafe, we may postpone or cancel the service.

 

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
